Guiding systems equipped with ball bearings ensure smooth operation, and rubber contact surfaces are incorporated to prevent annoying contact noises. The fundamental concept of this structure has been refined over several decades. Depending on the project, the structure is customized to meet the specific needs of the customer. Partial Use from the Front (Backstacking): To restore intimacy in the theater when the number of spectators is smaller than the venue's capacity, a partial-use mode, also known as backstacking, can be implemented. This involves closing some of the back rows and, if feasible, moving the entire RSS towards the stage to maintain close contact with the performance. This solution is relatively easy to achieve and comes with reasonable costs, requiring minimal effort for implementation.

Partial Use from the Back (Frontstacking): When accommodating a standing audience in front of the RSS, sightlines for the first rows may be obstructed. To address this, an option is available where some of the first rows can be closed to create a significant riser height between the flat floor and the first row of the RSS. This requires additional support for the first platforms, front guardrails for safety, and potentially additional staircases in the front to access the flat floor. be aware, implementing this option involves extra components and additional work for the operators.

Our Retractable Seating System (RSS) is designed to be fully inclusive, offering accommodation for wheelchair users as per ADA guidelines. By using removable chairs and/or partially retractable platforms, we can easily create dedicated spots within the audience for wheelchair users. To enhance accessibility, some chairs can be equipped with swing-away arms, allowing disabled individuals to easily access their seats at the end of each row. The most common operating method for the retractable system, offering precise control. Our Jezet system utilizes large traction rolls with soft rubber tires, ensuring extensive floor contact to minimize wear and tear, granting the operator the ability to make subtle adjustments during movement.

Our floating Pull Push chain system is employed to open and close the tribune, ensuring no contact with the floor. The interconnected chains, operated by a crankshaft, work simultaneously, allowing for perfect parallel opening. This solution is ideal for stationary retractable systems.

Self-supporting platforms

Self-Supporting Platform. Strengthening Versatility and Smooth Transitions

The retractable platform is designed to exhibit its full strength when fully deployed, ensuring stability during regular use. However if you like to apply a load on the last platfrom in the retracted position, additional reinforcement of the steel structure is required to support the platforms adequately. This versatile design provides two key benefits: Front of House (FOH) Placement: When positioned on the last platform, the self-supporting feature allows the FOH to function seamlessly and securely, providing an ideal location for sound engineers to monitor and control audio with confidence.

Smooth Transition to the Balcony: The self-supporting capability also facilitates a smooth transition from the retractable system to the balcony situated at the back of the RSS. This ensures a continuous and safe audience flow, enhancing the overall experience for all attendees.
